Chateau Chapeau 2013

Chateau Chapeau 2014

"Hats Off" IGP Cévenne (Languedoc), France

Chateau Chapeau ("hat estate") is an impressive wine of class and good taste. A well crafted blend of Merlot, Grenache, Tempernillo and Syrah (Shiraz) that presents generous and intense fruit, balanced by a velvety structure that makes it very hard to resist. You will be pleased to find interesting nuances in the marriage between aromas and palate, along with tamed complexity and a powerful finish that is highlighted by completely melted tannins. Superb red wine that will delight you. Excellent value. Limited quantity from this vintage left.

Info on Grower

Domaine Lous Grezes is owned and operated by charming couple Luc and Trees in the scenery, hilly region of Domessargues in Languedoc. It is an exceptionally fertile and generous terroir that really allows wine to "make itself" without the use of any additives or chemicals in farming and therefor in the vinification. At an altitude of 120m above sea level and southwest facing vineyards, good sun exposure - good acidity is guaranteed. Fully fledged members of the French SAINS association is a source of pride for the domaine, which miraculously is relatively unknown in the UK. The wines are made with dedication and care with extreme attention to detail. Luc is passionate about creating wines that have beautiful acidity, complex and interesting taste that can age and evolve.
