"Sour Blueberry" Burgenland. Austria
A light, refreshing (10% abv) and ultra-drinkable Austrian red, very suitable for drinking chilled similarly to a Gamay. If you have not had a wine made from the Zweigelt variety before it will probably surprise you; we can describe it best as evoking notes of sour blueberry. The wine evolves very well over some 2-3 hours and more as the acidity becomes integrates and the material tones up. Nothing added and nothing removed. We recommend opening 30-40 minutes before drinking, and serving chilled.
