Amph'orange 2020

A special edition release by Bodega Recuero, Amph'orange is an Orange wine made from a combination of 4 near extinct varieties sourced from the Bodega's vineyards in Toledo and Caceres. A lengthy maceration period of 4 weeks in traditional clay amphora vessels gives this wine its deep and bright amber colour. Expect a full and round palate that is full of fruity notes with an opulent, silky texture. The finish is long and persistent along with some welcome  complexity and a touch tingling tannins at the very end. We recommend drinking chilled but not very cold (about 45 minutes in the fridge. An interesting pairing with mild chutnys and currys.
