An explosive Montepulciano from Abruzzo that manages to be powerful and potent and at the same time impressively integrated and drinkable. Brutally delicious; being part of the BRUTAL wine group is a great testament to the purity and quality of Matteo's winemaking. This is the first and only Brutal coming from Italy; Matteo tells the story behind this natural wine at the beginning of his winemaking career, in the cellars of Escoda Sanahuja in Catalunya when the original shout was heard "it's so good, it's Brutal!" which was the beginning of this elusive and fascinating organic wine series. A lovely pairing to grilled meats, we recommend serving it just under room temperature.
