Esprit Vendangeur 2017

How good is this Sauvignon Blanc you might be asking yourself.. It's not coming from the Loire valley but further down south, unusual, you might ponder.. Fair enough. In our eyes, this absolute wonder of a white natural wine, made by one of France's top up-and-coming talents in Alexandre Coulange (Domaine Thuronis), is good enough to "fly over" details such as varietal, the terroir, soil and particularities of this 2017 vintage. Of course, these are all pertinent to understanding a wine however we feel that the end result really surpasses the sum of these individual factors. The clarity, sincerity and purity of "Esprit Vendangeur" are overwhelming; you would recognise those from your past experiences with big-name cult wines. Sensational.
