Who likes Aligote? We LOVE it.
Maybe because we always like a good “underdog” – being a Burgundy white variety that is always in the shadow of the celebrated Chardonnay.
This particular bottle of wine is a rare strain of this variety named “Aligote Dore” (translates to Golden Aligote).
We can honestly say that it is an absolute sublime joy to be had; a prime example of the quality this variety can yield, specifically when coming from these old vines in the heart of Burgundy and vinified by the talented Benoit Killian (Domaine Cotelette).
It’s alive, ultra-pure, clean, intricate and with a superb balance between minerality, roundness and a feeling of mature fruit. Certainly keeps you reaching for that glass.
Rare and tightly allocated. Serve chilled.
