How pleasurable it is when a big red wine provides you with all of the power, lusciousness, roundness and fruit without attacking your palate with numbingly sharp tannins. This bottle does just that, to the maximum.. On first smell, dark berries with a touch of compote - you'll know its big and fruity and will expect a typical Rhone Valley, tannic barrage at the end of the sip, but no, it remains ever so pleasantly smooth and silky, and just keeps going with a very long finish. Serve this at or just below room temperature and enjoy with mature yellow cheese, rich saute dishes or grilled meats.
