An excellent example of a classic Portuguese red wine, blending varieties endemic to the Lisbon area (Leiria to be specific) that achieve that sought after fit of offering power and structure from a relatively low percentage of alcohol. Being a 2016 vintage, it is now in just the right balance presenting dark, mature fruit notes with some acidity to lift it. A class act from a winery that really doesn't cut corners in viticulture and meticulous work in the cellar. We recommend serving at or just under room temperature and opening 15-30 minutes before drinking. Careful decanting (small amounts at a time) can also be done. Pairs well with roast pork dishes and bold cheese.
