Trousseau "Les Clouset" 2022

Arbois is considered the pinnacle of white Jura wines with Chardonnays from the Pupillin village equivalent to Burgundy grand crus, for example. However there is also a (lesser known) commune in Arbois called Montigny-Les-Arsures which is renowned for its high quality red variety Trousseau (which this wine is made of).

Michael Gahier took over these old vineyards and has become a bit of a Jura legend with his wines being snapped up as soon as theyre released. All are very well made, well structured and of-course, Pure Wines.

This cuvee is called Les Clousot, a younger parcel of the domaine that produces the lighter, ethereal examples. Dark forest berries, mineral backbone and a touch of freshness.

We recommend serving lightly chilled (7 minutes in the fridge) and opening 10-20 minutes before drinking (or more where possible). Superb with quality charcuterie.
