Anjou rouge l’aubinaie 2016

Anjou rouge l’Aubinaie 2018

"Naturally Irresistible" AOC Anjou, France

Typical red wine from AOC Anjou (in the Loire Valley), this 100% Cabernet Franc is soft and round. Lightly aged in oak barrels, this wine offers well-melted tannins and exudes a scent of red fruits piqued with some spices and a hint of eucalyptus. It will pair perfectly with nice grilled red meat, or roast duck dishes. A tip from our sommelier, this wine has some reductive notes that can be released by either shaking the bottle gently and letting it rest X repeat 2-3 times, or open and let rest for 1-2 hours.

I am loathe to leave this review in case this gorgeous wine sells out. My bottle was a 2017 so my review is for this vintage. Oh gosh, where to begin. It is so fragrant – eau de vie, incense, violet, green herbs, eucalyptus. Light in style but with depth and such complexity.

Hi, anjou rouge l’Aubinaie had gone out of stock very recently, but is expected back in the next 2-3 weeks. The new vintage is lovely.
