Just when you thought you knew all of Chardonnay's expressions, Alexandre Coulange comes and shows us a side that we never knew existed. A wine whose aromas are alight with bright apples and just a hint of something softer, rounder; you might expect that it could be little sweet.. The palate is dry and round, fresh and lively with explosive purity, unconstrained by the over-oaked bottles coming from more traditional Chardonnay. It proves that there’s more to this well-known grape than might be realised, and the terroir that a grape comes from is very important in the resulting wine. Give this bottle about 20 minutes to settle down and you in for a treat.
