A Pinot Noir coming from 80-Year-old (or older) vines in Coté d’Or. Half way between Beaune and Dijon and about 10-20km from places such as Vosne Romaneé, Vougeot, Gevery Chambertin . A parcel that was never ever treated with chemicals – a Burgundy Rarity indeed.
A beautiful wine, calm and confident, it offers a pure and direct expression of wild strawberry, ripe blackcurrant with a brilliantly long finish that balances a touch of acidity on a silky material. A real nice treat. We recommend serving slightly chilled (10-15 minutes in the fridge) and opening 20-30 minutes before serving. This can be shortened with the use of a decanter – we recommend pouring about 1/3 of the bottle into the decanter at a time (As opposed to the whole bottle at once, unless shared between multiple glasses), swerve the decanter gently, wait 5 minutes and enjoy.
