LOS BESOS QUE TE ROBE 2018
Orly, the winemaker, is a man of great Passion and Emotion. He describes this beautiful wine best: “Each of the natural wines I make, each of the vineyards I work with, are special, they are unique to me; but this natural red wine that you have today in the glass if it fits, is still more personal. When I discovered this thorn (vineyard) it was like a jungle.
A supple mixture of Grenache, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon that was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. The result is deep and velvety natural wine that would enjoy accompanying your steak or lamb roast meal.
We will start with a confusing statement, this is a Cabernet Franc for those who usually don't like a Cabernet Franc. The reason is that it has none of the green/vegetable notes that you get from traditional expressions in the Loire.
How do you take a winemaking tradition as ancient as known history itself? How do you funnel the intense character and passionate pride that Georgian people take in their wines? You need to make Georgian wine in the way it was made thousands of years ago, in the same place with the same raw materials.
