Maremma, on the border between the volcanic region of lake Bolsena and the beautiful Tuscanian southernmost coast, is the home of a number of excellent wineries. La Maliosa is one of them; producing naturally made wines grown biodynamically through the greatest of care and attention to the life in the Vineyards and surrounding fauna. This Saturnia Rosso is a dry red wine made from 3 local varieties one of which being the Cannonau Gris, an extremely rare variety. A gentle fruit expression, slightly rustic, carried over by a modicum of acidity with a fine slightly tannic finish. We would recommend decanting for about 30 minutes before drinking and serving at room temperature.
