Riesling reborn from noble roots to cutting edge natural expression

A living heritage of a singular grape Long before fashions rose and fell, Riesling commanded respect at princely tables and in monastic cellars because it could translate place with a clarity few varieties approach. To understand why Riesling wine now stretches from crystalline classics to experimental natural bottlings, we start in the river valleys where […]
Riesling “Sandstein” 2022

Weingut Seckinger’s Riesling Sandstein is a special wine made from the first picking blend of the estate’s Grand Cru vineyards in Deidesheim from 2022 vintage. A single “Doppelstück” (Large double-barrel) that fermented really slowly. Absolutely delicious; typical Riesling notes with a touch of sweet sensation and bright, keen acidity.
Its an excellent thirst quencher (11.5% abv only) and great for those situation when you’re not entirely sure what to pair with your Friday evening take-away, as it will work well with almost all of them! Serve chilled.
RN422 (Riesling) 2014

A classic dry Riesling from Alsace, with the signature purity of Domaine Julien Meyer wines. A lively and supple wine with all of the expected characteristics; floral, perfumed aromas of ripe white fruit on a fresh palate lined with trace acidity and saline, mineral finish.
Pairs well with seafood dishes and salmon dishes of all kinds. Serve chilled (8c-12c)
Riesling “Rutscherle” nature 2023

This mature Riesling develops aromas of dried fruits, grapefruit, nuts, with a mineral note. On the palate, we find the yellow fruits with superb freshness and a long complex and honeyed finish. A dry white, a natural wine of gastronomy that can comfortably go along a whole meal; seafood, white meat, goats cheese, mushroom pasta and more. We recommend serving at 10 C from a decanter to allow optimal tasing. Beautiful value Alsace Riesling.
Flexitarian Drinking: Why Non-Vegans Are Making A Permanent Switch To Ethical Wine

The wine aisle is no longer a passive shelf. It is where personal ethics, health consciousness, and taste now converge. A narrow clique of experts does not lead the shift. It is driven by flexitarian consumers who reduce their intake of animal products without strict abstention and want products that align with their values without […]
The science of purity in vegan wine filtration

For a generation of natural wine drinkers, filtration signalled loss. Early deep-bed sheets and diatomaceous earth demanded high pressure and frequent oxygen contact. The result was oxidation risk, stripped colour, and a thinner palate. Those systems filtered perpendicularly through compacted media. They also removed colloids and polysaccharides that contribute to texture and colour stability. Wines […]
The ultimate pairing guide: finding the perfect vegan wine for plant-based gastronomy

Plant-based dining has moved well beyond simple salads. Chefs now build layered dishes with roasted brassicas, fermented pastes, seaweed, smoked legumes, slow-cooked mushrooms, and nut-based creams. This breadth of flavour asks more from the glass. Vegan wine made with natural wine and organic wine principles offers the cleanest fit. These bottles are typically produced with […]

As autumn arrives in the UK, the change in seasons brings with it a rich tapestry of sensory experiences. The air takes on a crispness, the ground is covered in a carpet of fallen leaves, and the aromas of cinnamon, cloves, and woodsmoke fill the atmosphere. These sensations not only mark a shift in the […]
Orange wine bridges ancient technique and modern taste

A style once whispered about at specialist tastings now sits confidently on serious wine lists, its colours shifting from apricot to deep amber. Orange wine carries no citrus flavour. It is a fourth chromatic path in winemaking, produced from white grapes handled with the logic of a red. The result is texture, grip and savoury […]
Gewurztraminer Origins Aromatics Identity And Natural Potential

Pronounce it with confidence and its mystique softens at once. Gewurztraminer (Geh VURTS Trah Mee Nur) is a grape whose perfume can seem to rise before the glass reaches your nose. This varietal splits opinion precisely because it refuses to be neutral. Understanding it is not a superficial exercise in exotic fruit notes. It is […]
