Pinot d'Aunis is a grape variety planted on a mere total of 400-500 hectares in the Loire valley. It is famous for evoking tasting notes of pepper which are certainly present in this wine. However, this particular Pinot d'Aunis (Pronounced d'onyé) is juicier, lighter and a more refreshing wine than most, and would be best served well slightly chilled, along with a grilled steak or strong meaty mushroom dishes.
