A classic take on a Burgundian Chardonnay minus the oak-iness, which means it’s extra fresh and extra fruity.
The “attack” (the beginning of the sip) is a controlled burst of floral green apple, ripe yellow grapefruit and a touch of exotic fruit. The mid-palate is dominated by a mouthwatering acidity (again, well-controlled) easily flowing onto a consistent finish.
Another well-made wine by Domaine La Cotelette really conveys confident, expert low-intervention winemaking from this young winery.
