Made from 61 year old vines in Morgon, growing on volcanic soil and schist subsoil. The whole bunches were fermented in wooden vats as a semi-carbonic maceration followed by slow, gentle press. The color is translucent garnet. Aromas of fine, fresh candied cherry, stone, with a touch of ripe stem and spices. The palate is round, very ample, airy, energetically deploying a very fine, delicate substance, endowed with delightful fruit and freshness. A superb balance. The finish is refined, deliciously biting, with fruit that turns explosive, while remaining disconcertingly delicate. Magic.
