Saint Romain Rouge 2016

An excellent over-achiever Pinot Noir from this somewhat shy appellation in Burgundy. Having spent some time in the bottle after 12 months in barrel, it is now peaking and displaying its beauty. Generous, delightful and earthy aromas of floral morello cherry and a touch of vanilla will set you in the right direction, and the expectation is fully fulfilled on the palate. Exquisitely balanced and very well integrated, the fruit expression shines through with power and finesse; a job well done by Jean-Marie and Jean-Pascal. We recommend opening 20-30 minutes before serving. Can be lightly chilled according to personal preference.
