A classy, big Italian red that is sure to delight both natural wine connoisseurs and lovers of conventional, fine Italian wine. The Bulli winery is based in the small village of Bacedasco very close to Piacenza, in the wine region of Emilia-Romagna. Its a stone throw away from firm natural wine prestige such as La Stoppa, Denavolo and others.
Exceptionally silky and delightfully fruity coupled with an very high drinkability. Wide, deep and generous with fully melted tannins and a satisfyingly long and consistent finish. Serve at room temperature with heart meals.
Vinification - Gentle crushing and destemming, maceration on the skins at a controlled temperature with manual pumping over using the delestage method, racking after about 20 days. The wine is aged for 36 months in Stainless Steel tanks to preserve all of the fruit's character . Its than further refined by a further 6 months in bottle.
The work in the vineyard is organic and the wine is carefully made in very low intervention. Leo, the man behind Bulli is a class act producing lively, classy wines.
